Inclinometers

Precise and reliable measurement - suitable for use in the harshest environmental conditions

The right solution for every application. Whether static or dynamic applications, Kübler offers the right sensor technology for both 1-axis and 2-axis inclination measurement. Compared to alternative measuring systems, inclination sensors offer more flexibility and degrees of freedom in system design, as the sensor does not require a mechanical connection to a shaft or rotary axis, for example. This simplifies installation and significantly reduces sources of error. With the help of simple tools, the sensors can be individually adapted to the respective application requirements.

Inclinometers for precise measurements in industrial applications

Precise inclination detection for any installation position - our sensors measure uniaxially or biaxially with maximum accuracy.

1-axis inclination measurement

1-axis inclination measurement

The base of the sensor is perpendicular to the earth's surface. The rotation around the horizontal is measured in the range 0° to 360°.

2-axis inclination measurement

2-axis inclination measurement

The base of the sensor is parallel to the earth's surface. The rotations around axis X and axis Y are measured in the range from +85° to -85° from the starting position.

3-axis inclination measurement

3-axis inclination measurement

The installation position of the sensor can be freely selected, as all three axes are detected. The rotations around the X, Y and Z axes are measured with 360° coverage.

Precise 1- or 2-axis inclination measurement

Applications in which the overall application does not move. The measurement is based on an acceleration measuring cell that provides a precise measurement at a moderate speed. Application examples: In mobile automation such as mobile cranes, lifting tables in intralogistics through to tracked photovoltaic systems in solar industry applications, and many more.

Precise 1- or 2-axis inclination measurement

Applications in which the entire application is in motion or exposed to strong vibrations and oscillations. In addition to the measurement via an acceleration measuring cell, a rotation is also determined via a rotation rate measuring cell. An intelligent calculation of the values from this sensor fusion enables the measurement result to be provided at a high speed. Application examples: In mobile automation such as wheel loaders, timber harvesters as well as forklift trucks, pallet trucks and automated guided vehicles (AGV) in intralogistics, etc.

Inclinometers for dynamic applications (6DoF)
Precise 3-axis dynamic inclination measurement

For applications requiring precise measurement of inclination angles in all three axes (x, y & z), even during movement, vibrations and oscillations. The measurement is based on a combination of acceleration and rotation rate measurement as well as intelligent sensor fusion. A big advantage of these Inclinometers is their flexible installation position. Unlike classic 1- or 2-axis inclination sensors, they do not require strictly vertical or horizontal mounting, which makes integration into machines and vehicles much easier.
