This aid project is Kübler's latest project. Being aware that a better future can only be based on education, we give here children in need the possibility to attend school. The school is located in a poor area of Cartagena de Indias. This metropolis counts about 952,000 inhabitants; it is located in the North of Columbia and is the capital of the department of Bolivar.
Most of the inhabitants are of African descent, many are living in poverty or at least in modest conditions. Especially the children are suffering from these living conditions, which do not offer them any opportunity for development.
And this is where the project comes into play. A primary school has been set up, and 130 children aged from four to thirteen years are attending the classes. Without this school, these boys and girls would have no access to education. So this institution is not only a glimmer of hope, but the foundation for a better life. The school is to be continuously improved and extended and it needs additional means to build classrooms. An auditorium, as well as a sports field, is also planned.
So there remains much to do – we are glad to help.
