About TOP 100
Since 1993, the TOP 100 innovation competition has recognized small and medium-sized enterprises that stand out for their particularly systematic and successful innovation management. The decisive factor is not a single new product, but the overall picture: strategy, innovation culture, processes, market orientation, and measurable economic success.
Nikolaus Franke of the Vienna University of Economics and Business serves as the scientific director.
The mentor is former Federal President Christian Wulff. Project partners include the Fraunhofer Society and the BVMW, among others.
The official award ceremony took place on 26 June as part of the German SME Summit. At the event, the award was presented to the winning companies by Christian Wulff, former German President and patron of the innovation competition.
We develop our innovations through intensive exchange with our customers, markets, and partners, not exclusively behind closed laboratory doors. Working together with suppliers and universities, and through continuous market exploration, we develop solutions that are directly tailored to our customers' needs. Technical discussions between our development engineers and those of our customers play a key role in this process, enabling us to work through solutions at an early stage for both new plant projects and existing systems.
Our product management team collaborates closely with the application team to translate real-world challenges into technological and process-related requirements. This enables us to create not only new products, but also complete system solutions that expand the scope of our service portfolio. We support our innovation process through the targeted use of artificial intelligence, providing space for creativity and our corporate guidelines, which help us to identify and implement opportunities at an early stage.
To us, innovation means more than just developing new technologies; it also means continuously improving collaboration, from the first customer contact through to the product experience, service, and delivery processes. Winning the TOP 100 Award confirms that our approach works and motivates us to continue working with full energy on tomorrow's solutions.
The TOP 100 award is granted according to company size, ensuring equal opportunities for all participants. In the 33rd round of the current competition, 356 medium-sized companies applied, of which 282 were successfully awarded the prize.
