Reliable measurement—even in dusty, foggy, or low-visibility conditions

BENEFITS AT A GLANCE

  • Reliable measurements in dusty, foggy, or rainy conditions
  • Unaffected by ambient light
  • Non-contact measurement with no mechanical wear

Radar sensors are smart, non-contact measuring devices that can accurately detect the position and distance of objects. They excel in challenging industrial environments where conventional sensors struggle, such as in the presence of dust, fog, heat or poor visibility.
Kübler radar sensors operate using FMCW technology. They emit electromagnetic waves that strike an object and are reflected back. The sensor then calculates exact measurement values based on the transit time of these signals. Thanks to the narrow radar beam angle, even hard-to-reach areas and complex systems can be reliably monitored.
Non-contact measurement ensures there is no mechanical wear, and the sensors deliver precise results regardless of ambient light or adverse conditions. This improves process stability, reduces errors and ensures maximum process reliability.
Radar sensors are used in many different industries, including the metal industry, agriculture, automation technology, cranes, construction machinery, transportation, logistics and robotics. They help to accurately detect objects and reliably determine positions, thereby increasing efficiency and precision in all applications.
