Explosion protection and functional safety technology in one device. The absolute multiturn encoder Sendix 7063FS2 is suitable for use in safety-related applications up to SIL2 according to EN 61800-5-2 or PLd according to EN ISO 13849-1. In addition, this encoder offers explosion protection in a compact 70 mm housing made of seawater-resistant aluminum.

Accessories
Bellows couplings (FS)
Bellows couplings are used for the low backlash connection of motor and encoder. In addition, a correction of angular errors between drive and encoder is achieved.These bellows couplings (FS) provide a safe connection between the application and Sendix SIL encoders.
The safety-oriented bellows coupling has, in addition to the metallic bellows, internal claws that ensure the driving of the encoder in case of breakage of the bellows connection.
