Fritz Kuebler GmbH offers various high-quality rotary encoders in its sensor technology portfolio

Fritz Kuebler GmbH’s product portfolio contains various encoders which can be integrated in different applications in sensor technology. Rotary encoders such as incremental and absolute encoders are available, but also linear encoders such as magnetic and draw-wire systems as well as length measuring kits. Besides sensor technology, the German company offers industrial counting technology as well as process technology components such as tachometers, timers and process controllers.
The company’s headquarters are located in Baden-Wuerttemberg and count about 150 employees. Fritz Kuebler GmbH has been an international leader for several years. Disposing of a more than 40 years experience, Kuebler has an excellent reputation when it comes to highly reliable, high-quality and cost-effective components in the fields of sensor, counting and process technology. Kuebler’s components and devices are used by thousands of customers in more than 50 countries. As one of the international success stories, Kuebler recently delivered encoders for the New York subway.
Kuebler’s components and solutions are integrated in many industry sectors such as the medical and automotive industry. Fulfilled tasks are, for example, the detection and logging of movement or the count and display of physical values. On demand, Kuebler also manufactures an individual product for a certain customer need within one or two days. Simply contact us via E-mail or telephone.
Kuebler’s rotary system portfolio includes absolute and incremental encoders. For incremental encoders, Kuebler offers miniature encoders in shaft and hollow shaft versions and regular shaft versions with various diameter sizes. Kuebler also added stainless steel versions and heavy industry versions and accessories for high loads. Kuebler’s incremental encoders operate on an electro-optical scanning principle. A disk with a radial grating of lines and gaps rotates between a light source, mostly an LED, and a receiver which produces a sine wave signal proportional to the light received. Absolute encoders are available in two versions: singleturn and multiturn encoders (shaft versions with field bus, hollow shaft versions with field bus). The characteristic of an absolute encoder is that the light sent by a LED is modulated by a code pattern on a rotating disk. The modulated light signal is scanned by a special Kuebler Opto-Asic. A unique bit pattern is assigned to each position on the disk, the bit pattern is usually available as a Gray Code. The advantage is, that after power failure true position verification is available as soon as power is up again, even if the shaft was moved during the dead state.
