Kübler introduces, with the new pulse and time counters Codix 140 and Codix 141, the latest products of the Codix counters family. Just as the proven, battery-powered Codix 130 and 131, these new devices are very high performance products which feature many advantages: for example, the clear 8-digit display, with its 8mm high figures, ensures quick information at a glance. In addition, total numbers of impulses or times are displayed directly, making application sequences particularly transparent.

Thanks to its very compact size, the new Codix all-round talent, housed in its 48 x 24 x 48 millimetres DIN housing, can be accommodated in a wide range of applications with little space that require an outstanding reliability. Furthermore, the high IP65 protection is as well as its wide temperature range of -20° to +65° C another guarantee for maximum safety.

The multifunctional Reset key, which can be disabled, if necessary, by means of a separate input is another important extra feature.

The display and time counters Codix 14x are actuated by means of dry contacts or voltage pulses. Their range of application reaches from totalisation and parts counting up to time recording, and many other uses. In addition, the counters have a very high counting frequency of up to 12 kHz.

Another typical advantage of the Kübler Codix family is the reliable protection against data loss: all values of the 14x products range are saved in the EEPROM. In addition, thanks to screw terminals with a 5 mm pitch, connection is both easy and flexible. The quick PNP or the slow NPN actuation via separate inputs completes this convincing description.

The new universal preset counters CODIX 92x are now offered by Kübler with up to a maximum of 6 presets and 4 different displays.
The counters are now available as standard with either 4 relay outputs or 6 optocoupler outputs.  These allow a variety of control tasks to be undertaken, as these presets can be used in the pulse counter and timer modes, as well as in the frequency meter mode. It is thus possible, for example, to create small sequential control systems, simple cam controllers or frequency monitors with various alarm stages. The presets can be individually programmed either as a maintained output for range presets or as a momentary output for coincidence presets.
The devices come equipped with a large 2-line 6-digit display, with sign and leading zero suppression, which allows for easier readability of the data. The display range is from -999 999 up to + 999 999.   The new display technology is based on a cost-effective LCD-technology with alternatively positive or negative red or green backlighting, which - like with LED displays - guarantees optimal readability even in difficult lighting conditions. The differentiation between each displayed value is improved by the possibility to display the upper line in red and to program the lower line in either red or green.
A compact key-pad enables convenient direct entry of the presets by digit. Easy-to-understand annunciators provide information about the preset and the status of the outputs.

The CODIX 92X are multitalented products that can handle the display, measurement and control of pulses (counter), frequencies (tacho) and time (timer), using numerous count functions and modes.
They thus offer a simple, cost-effective solution for many local standard control functions. When it comes to simple tasks, the many logic functions and preconfigured control functions offered by the CODIX 92X make them a real alternative to a PLC.

They can also be used as batch counters for controlling lot sizes, as a function of individual quantities, or as totalising counters for process control, as a function of the total count. In an additional role, they offer secure monitoring of time, frequency, position and pulses.

The CODIX 92X rangecomes equipped to meet the requirements of the user but can also be customised to his individual needs. Up to 10 inputs, up to 6 optocoupler outputs and up to 4 relay outputs are possible. In addition, versions with an RS 232/485 interface can be supplied.
It is not necessary to have in-depth programming knowledge when installing or using these devices, eliminating the need for costly service engineers. With all count functions there is direct access to the programming mode. On top of everything, the units are really easy to operate thanks to the simple, easy-to-understand programming structure and the alpha-numeric display of the parameters.  The various functions can be programmed either absolute or as tracking presets via the direct preset entry.
The counters boast a Teach-In function for error-free preset entry, a frequency display with fast display refresh and high accuracy (High Accuracy System), as well as many other count modes and functions.
The devices come factory-equipped with three predefined settings for the most common applications. If a parameter is modified, then the devices adopt the new function almost immediately: the programming is concluded in no time by means of the reset key. The functions Display Hold, Set and Teach-In can be called up via the new MPI input (Multiple Purpose Input).

Plug-in screw connectors with cage clamp terminals offer convenient time-saving installation. The front bezel is IP 65 sealed as standard, saving on additional time and effort for protecting the device during installation. And, of course, there will always be room for the CODIX92X devices, thanks to their minimal installation depth.

Thanks to the new service counters and service timers from Kübler you can now keep a very close eye on the maintenance intervals and servicing  times for your plant and machinery.
The compact CODIX 142 counter series and 143 timer series come equipped with the optimum functionality for monitoring service and maintenance cycles.

The service intervals are permanently pre-programmed at the factory in line with the customer's wishes, so no further programming needs to be done by the user. The product display shows the text 'Service' when, for example, 5000 pulses or hours has been reached; a pre-signal text 'Preservice' can also for example be displayed at 4900. In addition the solid-state output can provide a signal when the service is due.

The counter can be reset by means of the reset key or by using an electrical input. In order to prevent an undesired reset, the reset key can be deactivated by means of an electrical input.  For the service counters, the values remain stored - the service values are incremented by the stored preset value when resetting. If, for example, the service value has been programmed for  5000 pulses and the reset occurs when the count value equals 5100 pulses, then the new service value will be 10100 (count value 5100 + service interval 5000). Should the need arise, the device can also be reset to its initial delivery condition. The Service and Preservice values can be requested and displayed at any time.
The device can be powered with a DC supply between 10 and 30 V and boasts a 7 digit 8mm high LCD display. The values are stored in an EEPROM. Separate inputs are provided for fast PNP pulses or damped NPN pulses. Thanks to its extremely compact dimensions (48mm x 24mm x 48mm), there will be no problems finding a place to install the unit.

Many new functions, increased performance, compact construction and even more user-friendly  - these are the hallmarks of the new enhanced CODIX 52x series of displays from Kübler.
Codix 52C and 52T are dual counters with 2 separate pulse counters in one housing. These make possible a wide variety of applications such as product data acquisition, e.g. batch counting with total count,  or service and maintenance counting with service intervals and total piece count or volume.
The Codix 52C models come with separate single-channel pulse inputs and separate scaling of the displayed values; the Codix 52T models have a common single-channel count input with separate scaling for both counters.  Both count readings can be displayed separately via the front keys - with the Codix 52C the sum total, difference, quotient or percentage ratio of the two values can also be displayed.

The CODIX displays with their modern design and 24 x 48 mm format have already proved themselves very popular with customers, thanks to the many benefits they offer. These include, for example, the simple-to-use menu-driven programming. High-quality connection technology saves on valuable installation time. A minimal installation depth allows the units to be installed even where space is tight. The exceptionally bright LED display is readable from a long distance away. Large keys permit the devices to be programmed easily, even when wearing gloves.

The CODIX displays offer even more advantages.
Firstly, they are now even faster. On average they feature a 2.5 times faster count speed, with a maximum of 60kHz, and are ready for use just 16 m/s after being switched on.
Secondly, they have even more functions - so they offer a much wider choice of settings. Division factors are integrated along with multiplication factors, thus making it possible to scale the display to exactly the required format. These open up more application options and offer the user increased flexibility. Versions with a 5V input trigger level are also available as standard.

Thirdly, they are even more user-friendly - even though they boast more programming options.

These features all go to ensure that the new versions from the CODIX series are not only well prepared to meet the ever-increasing demands of the automation industry but are also perfectly suited to the most diverse applications.

The new CODIX 538 from Kübler can be integrated without difficulty into any CAN or CANopen network in order to display locally any user-defined value. Numerical values can be directly scaled using a factor or offset from the display device. The display has a floating decimal point that can be inserted in any position.

CAN encoders can be read out directly, thanks to the Automatic Operational Mode.  The CAN-compliant display device is particularly easy to integrate, as it possesses automatic baud rate recognition and up to 16 node numbers that can be set easily via rotary switches.

CODIX 538 supports CAN specifications 2.0A and 2.0B and a communication speed of up to 1 Mbit/s.
The unit comes equipped with a 6 digit 8mm high red 7 segment bright  LED display. Each segment can be directly written to, allowing not only values to be displayed but text messages also.  There will always be room for the display, thanks to its DIN housing that measures only 48mm x 24mm, with an installation depth of just 59mm. Reverse polarity protection likewise facilitates installation. On account of its high IP65 protection rating (from the front) the display can be easily used in industrial environments without the need for an additional protective housing.
