Globalisation leads to an increased international competition.  The selection process amongst the market players knows no mercy and only the innovative, adaptable and productive will survive.  Very often it is the medium-sized companies that find the path to success.  Many entrepreneurs of medium sized companies are focussing on their  home base production, despite many larger cooperation choosing low cost production sites.

This outweighs potential cost savings by moving to low cost production sites.  More than 95 percent of Kübler products are for instance manufactured in Germany , and of these 60% go to export. 

For Fritz Kübler GmbH, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of encoders, linear measuring technology, counters and process instrumentation, notably the close interaction between research, development and production are particularly important since many customers can be acquired through a high level of flexibility and technically sophisticated products. For the latter, more than 10% of the turnover will continue to be reinvested in R&D. 

Kübler GmbH is supporting the initiative called “Initiative PRO Standort Deutschland”, started by the technical magazine Produktion, which expresses support for Germany as the preferred location.  This initiative now has the backing of around one hundred successful mid sized businesses.  Like many other innovative export-oriented companies, Fritz Kübler GmbH judges its own business situation as generally quite good and growing strongly.

In October 2005, the Fritz Kübler GmbH Company of Villingen-Schwenningen, Germany, a leading manufacturer of rotary and linear encoders, industrial counters and process display and control products, established a sales subsidiary in Poland. According to joint Managing Directors Gebhard and Lothar Kübler, this step was taken to capitalize and build on the existing successful achievements already made in this market with powerful partners.

The activities of these partners and distributors will now be supported by the new subsidiary located in Poznan. Kübler promises that this will result in closer contact with its customers, faster support and technical assistance with service calls, and is targeting a wide variety of new projects and customers. Kübler is looking for its new subsidiary to bring to the Polish market the parent company’s previously adopted successful role of solution provider.

The company will supply not just individual components but also complete pre-configured systems that can be designed together with the customer and tailored to his specific application needs. The market in Poland is particularly attractive due to its large amount of machine building, automation and measurement engineering.

Kübler’s products are employed in a wide variety of fields, beginning with the construction of machines and special-purpose machines, then for example also in instrument manufacture, kWh meters, in the steel industry, in lifts and geared motors.
