The Kübler Group was on the scene at the 35th Heilbronner Aufzugstage trade show on March 6 and 7. The focus was on the new LES absolute shaft copy systems Kübler brought to the market at the end of last year. This innovative, SIL3-certified measurement system is especially notable for its tough, compact design and for its extreme ease of installation. Based on 100% non-slip position feedback and 100% contact-free sensors, additional components like magnetic switches in the elevator shaft will soon be a thing of the past. That saves not only installation and maintenance time, but especially also reduces the total cost of the elevator system.

Kübler also exhibited its line of rotational sensors for gearless motors. In addition to bearing-mounted rotary encoders, there was plenty of interest in our line of smart, bearing-free magnetic rings and rotary encoder systems, which can provide not only rotational speeds, but for example also information for preventive maintenance.
Visitors were able to get information about current issues at small booths and a variety of interesting talks, for example about changing regulatory requirements, cybersecurity for elevator software, and even a virtual tour of thyssenkrupp's new test tower. For Kübler, both days were a complete success, with a number of interesting discussions.

On February 23, 2018, Fritz Kübler GmbH was awarded the TOP JOB seal by former Economic Minister Wolfgang Clement in Berlin, for outstanding employer qualities. The prize is awarded by the Zeag GmbH Center for Employer Attractiveness to companies who consistently support an employee-oriented and high-performance workplace culture.

Kübler is one of the world's leading specialists in position and movement sensors (rotary encoders), slip rings, and transmission technology, as well as meters and counters. Customer-oriented innovation, premium quality, and strong application expertise are important advantages that differentiate the company. With 10 subsidiaries, four global production facilities, and representatives in over 50 countries, Kübler has a worldwide presence and supplies market segments such as drive engineering, elevators, mobile automation, filling and packaging equipment, and many other areas of industrial automation.

Brothers Lothar and Gebhard Kübler are the second generation to manage the family company, and summarize their growth-oriented personnel strategy as follows: "We want to reinforce our leading role as a globally innovative company in our industry. The better our employees understand corporate strategy and work to make it a reality with a sense of responsibility and flexibility, and the better our management leads clearly and in a values-oriented manner, the closer we come to that success. As anywhere in life, of course, this is not always perfectly possible, but we're on the right path and are actively working to develop people in this context. This will strengthen our employer brand and allow us to win outstanding new colleagues for the Kübler Group."

Kübler follows the kaizen philosophy of a continuous improvement process on all levels. The corporate culture supports communication, including by means of "shop floor discussions" in which results, next steps, and other relevant news can be exchanged in Production. The work atmosphere is also reinforced by employee meetings, the Top Job employee poll, 360-degree feedback, and informal things such as regular company events, shared Christmas parties, and summer festivals that put the focus on the corporate family. These all allow both management and employees to examine mutual desires and expectations and determine customer requirements.

One of the products nominated was the Sendix S36 from Fritz Kübler GmbH in the category "Standard Components & Sensor Technology". Visitors voted for their favorite during the three days of the fair.

One for all! The slogan of the new Sendix S36 product family.

Thanks to its compact design, at only 36 mm it reduces the motor variants with a simultaneous maximum resolution of 2048 SinCos / revolutions or 24 bits fully digital – these features save space and costs. Furthermore, its sturdy construction makes it particularly shock and vibration resistant. A large number of possibilities of various electrical interfaces offer the customer maximum flexibility in selection:
  • RS485 + sin/cos (Hiperface compatible)
  • BiSS
  • BiSS Safety
  • BiSS Line (single-cable solution)
  • SCS open Link (single cable solution)

A taper or blind hollow shaft with different torque stops is available for standardization. There is also a wider range of options in terms of functional safety: Depending on the preference of the taper or blind hollow shaft, the drive manufacturer can freely select the preferred mechanical connection for its safety concept.

“We are extremely pleased with this award and would like to thank all visitors who voted for our Sendix S36,” announced Arnold Hettich, Product Manager Position and Motion Sensors, at the award ceremony on 07.12.2017. “In this respect, Kübler is taking a significant innovative step in the field of motor feedback systems and is already causing a great stir at the time of its first release," continued Arnold Hettich.
