With the large Codix 560 Kübler is rounding off a totally new generation of preset counters. Thanks to a wide variety of functions and counting modes all typical areas of application for a preset counter - and even simple control tasks - are now fully covered. The latest option to be available in this product range is the RS 232/485 interface, which in turn means that the counters are now able to support MODBUS (RTU) or the CR/LF protocol. The Codix 560 preset counters feature a wide range of fundamental benefits, including large, very bright LED displays. This means that the counters are easily legible - even in poor lighting situations or when viewed from a great distance. As with all Kübler Codix units, great store has been placed on simple userfriendly operation and programming structure. The device thus comes with numerous scrolling help texts, which - thanks to the 14-segment display - are very clearly legible. The intuitive cursor keypad makes programming even easier. The preset counter can be used for pulses, time, frequency and also for position; it can also function as an overall total counter or as a batch counter. Its important technical benefits include the provision of 2 relays, as well as a display that is scalable by a multiplication or division factor. Preset values can be entered directly via the large front keys or via the Teach-In input. Mounting the device in locations where space is tight is no problem thanks to the minimal installation depth. The new preset counters are also ideal for installation in mosaic systems. The Codix 560 supports MODBUS RTU for reading out counter data to a higher-level system - for production data acquisition or for logging measured values. Thus it can monitor and evaluate a wide variety of data, depending on how it is programmed, whether as a pulse counter, frequency or time meter or as a positioning controller. These data may include, for example, production count or speed, machine or turbine speed as well as production, run, operating and throughput times. Moreover a number of counters - with various measuring tasks - may be networked together in a bus, in order to monitor complete operating or process tasks. In addition the most important parameters can be specified or modified via the MODBUS; for example the various lengths and batch quantities when cutting to length. It is therefore possible to carry out decentrally very comprehensive control tasks both quickly and reliably. The CR/LF protocol concerns a simple printer protocol, where the measured value is sent to a large display or to a printer. It is thus possible to visualise all the data, which have just been counted - starting from production quantity/ speed and production time, through machine run time, test cycles and cutting speed and on to flow rates and production volumes. In addition the data can be sent directly to a printer. This is a very useful option, especially for label printing with small cut-to-length machines or when logging piece quantities for an order. |

The new 570 SSI Position Indicator now displays SSI formats from 8 up to 32 bits (formerly only up to 25 bits). It can be used with all Kübler SSI encoders as a display, control device, SSI analogue converter and SSI-RS232/RS485 interface converter. In addition the display can be scaled to the required measured variable, in order to display and evaluate degrees, length or position in the desired unit of measurement. Display scaling is carried out by means of the multiplication and division factor and the Offset is programmed by using an addend. The position display can also be used as a Master or Slave. With a max. clock frequency of 1MHz it is also ideal for very fast transmissions. It can therefore also be used with the Sendix Multiturn encoders from Kübler that have a singleturn resolution of the order of 13 bits. And there is a whole list of new functions included in its even longer list of specifications. Amongst these is display linearization with up to 16 control points and a Teach-In function. This is used when the display should not follow the input position value in a linear manner, for example with the control for a water lock, where the lock opening is displayed, measured proportionally to the swing angle. One special function is the monitoring of the encoder. This recognises, for example, whether the encoder is still transmitting data and as a result is able to control the outputs. As soon as an error indication is recognised the outputs can be set to inactive or the analogue output set to 0. A very important safety aspect. The option to cascade a number of displays, in order to display the multiturn and singleturn values separately, is another bonus when it comes to visualising the data. The already existing versions (2 optocoupler outputs; analogue output; interface outputs) are joined by a new version with 2 relay outputs. The relay outputs are used as limit values or presets and one output can also be programmed as a tracking preset. Moreover this new version with relays also has an RS232/RS485 interface. This means that we have 4 different models in our range

Their help is indispensable, wherever service intervals have to be effectively monitored and planned. Hour meters. These devices can make a significant contribution to efficient cost-calculations, as they guarantee that maintenance will be carried out at exactly the right time - but only when a machine has been running long enough that a service interval really is due or when a tool actually needs to be changed. So they literally have "everything under control", and even if that sounds a bit trite, it really can have a major effect on your budget. Here then the new Kübler HR 47 shows itself from its informative side: a run indicator reliably displays the status of the meter, whilst the count value can always be easily read at a glance thanks to its large figures. The Kübler HR 47 is happy to combine the benefits of being economical and powerful: as an electromechanical meter the Kübler HR 47 is virtually impossible to manipulate and is exceptionally reliable and robust. In consequence it offers a long service life, especially with regard to the 7-digit display with its wide counting range. The HR 47 is ideal for use in applications outdoors and in machines with high loads, thanks to its high IP 65 level of protection and its broad operating temperature range, not forgetting its excellent resistance to shock and vibration. So it really is at home in tough industrial environments such as in construction machinery or industrial trucks. The standard format housing is simple to install thanks to its flexible mounting clips and can be used in virtually any application thanks to the wide choice of power supply options on offer - these cover 10-80 Volt DC or 100-130 Volt AC at 60 Hz up to 187-264 Volt AC at 50 Hz. |

The new generation of Kübler singleturn encoders, Sendix The Kübler HW66 combination meters now offer outstanding measuring security backed up by excellent quality - for energy and likewise for time. Energy consumption and the number of hours run are both reliably measured in one device via the unique dual display for kWh and time, meaning they can then be read off in parallel at any time. These new meters have been developed in accordance with the relevant European Measuring Instruments Directive, known as the MID. As a result they meet the legal requirements for the accuracy of the instruments and thus carry, so to speak, the seal of approval for official energy billing. They also meet all the requirements of the German Weights & Measures Act. A plus point for safety: the HW 66 combination meters reliably display all measured values even if no voltage is present and therefore protect against any attempt to tamper with them. Moreover, the measurement results are secure and, in accordance with PTB standards, traceable and verifiable, since there is no way to reset the meters. The HW66 MID combination meters were specifically designed for machinery and equipment with a high energy consumption and in particular for those applications that demand an exact, traceable calculation of costs and billing. Because plant and equipment do not always run at full speed and as counting the number of hours run does not automatically reflect the actual costs incurred, the additional metering of the energy consumption, which the HW66 renders possible, plugs a crucial information gap. The precise measurement and secure read-out of time and energy consumption - combined in one device - is thus the optimal solution for transparent, equitable billing. |

Kübler introduces, with the new pulse and time counters Codix 140 and Codix 141, the latest products of the Codix counters family. Just as the proven, battery-powered Codix 130 and 131, these new devices are very high performance products which feature many advantages: for example, the clear 8-digit display, with its 8mm high figures, ensures quick information at a glance. In addition, total numbers of impulses or times are displayed directly, making application sequences particularly transparent. Thanks to its very compact size, the new Codix all-round talent, housed in its 48 x 24 x 48 millimetres DIN housing, can be accommodated in a wide range of applications with little space that require an outstanding reliability. Furthermore, the high IP65 protection is as well as its wide temperature range of -20° to +65° C another guarantee for maximum safety. The multifunctional Reset key, which can be disabled, if necessary, by means of a separate input is another important extra feature. The display and time counters Codix 14x are actuated by means of dry contacts or voltage pulses. Their range of application reaches from totalisation and parts counting up to time recording, and many other uses. In addition, the counters have a very high counting frequency of up to 12 kHz. Another typical advantage of the Kübler Codix family is the reliable protection against data loss: all values of the 14x products range are saved in the EEPROM. In addition, thanks to screw terminals with a 5 mm pitch, connection is both easy and flexible. The quick PNP or the slow NPN actuation via separate inputs completes this convincing description. |

Thanks to the new service counters and service timers from Kübler you can now keep a very close eye on the maintenance intervals and servicing times for your plant and machinery. The service intervals are permanently pre-programmed at the factory in line with the customer's wishes, so no further programming needs to be done by the user. The product display shows the text 'Service' when, for example, 5000 pulses or hours has been reached; a pre-signal text 'Preservice' can also for example be displayed at 4900. In addition the solid-state output can provide a signal when the service is due. The counter can be reset by means of the reset key or by using an electrical input. In order to prevent an undesired reset, the reset key can be deactivated by means of an electrical input. For the service counters, the values remain stored - the service values are incremented by the stored preset value when resetting. If, for example, the service value has been programmed for 5000 pulses and the reset occurs when the count value equals 5100 pulses, then the new service value will be 10100 (count value 5100 + service interval 5000). Should the need arise, the device can also be reset to its initial delivery condition. The Service and Preservice values can be requested and displayed at any time. |
